The first listing of Advanced Graphene Products S.A. (AGP), a producer of flake graphene and large-size graphene with a unique and patented HSMG® technology, which is a leader in Europe, on the NewConnect market will take place on 29 November this year. 4,994,000 stocks will be introduced to the market with the nominal value of PLN 1.00 each. The debut was preceded by the public emission of the stocks of C series, from which, in June, the Company obtained gross PLN 7.4 m.
AGP, as the only graphene producer in Poland, has significant research and organisational resources, which enable the annual production of 100 kg of flake graphene and 150 m2 of large-size graphene. This level will allow for the commercialisation of the devised graphene applications on an industrial scale. At present, the Company prepares for launching the pilot sale of graphene based filament, which is used for 3D printing. A process connected with obtaining a REACH certificate was also commenced, which confirms the high level management of industrial production and the safety of produced chemical substances.
The AGP strategy anticipates the full industrial commercialisation within 3-5 years of the 2-3 projects (i.a. in the field of carbon composites and anticorrosion coats) from among the projects in its current portfolio.
– AGP debut on the NewConnect market is the finial of our few years’ work and the symbolic caesura of our Company’s transfer to the level of an entity commercialising its own products. Certainly, we would not be here but for intense work, our belief in the success and the strong support of the first investors who also believed in our idea for business. AGP is an entity, which apart from a vision and an idea, has know-how – including a protected intellectual property, production resources and a professional team. There are the last formalities before us, owing to which we will be able to develop our wings completely and start graphene production on an industrial scale – for our contracting parties. I believe that our presence on the stock exchange market will open another door on the way to the Company’s development, and our transparency and reliable communication will support building its worth – says Maciej Gałązka, the President of the Management Board of Advanced Graphene Products S.A.
The ceremony of the debut of Advanced Graphene Products S.A. on NewConnect market will start at 11:00 a.m. This event will be broadcast live by Giełda Papierów Wartościowych in Warsaw.
LAST EVENTS
Apart from commercial cooperation with contracting parties, the Company intends to introduce and implement regularly new research-development projects. Their financing will be based, among other things, on funds obtained from donations. One of them is financing obtained in June this year from the funds of the National Centre of Research and Development (NCBR) in the amount of PLN 3.30 m. intended for the implementation of the newest B+R project connected with devising a technology of producing graphene oxide (GO dispersion) and obtaining a proper type of suspension (e.g. water or acetone suspension), and obtaining the highest degree of technological readiness: TRL9. The project implementation commenced in May this year, but its finalisation is planned for November 2023. The total project budget amounts to nearly PLN 4.34 m. The remaining part of own contribution will be financed by the Company from the funds gained from the emission of stocks. From its establishment, the Company has gained donations with the total value of PLN 7.4 m.
AGP intends to develop also through expansion on foreign markets, where the possibilities of using graphene are significantly higher than in the country. That is why at the beginning of September this year Advanced Graphene Product joined a group of members of the largest and the oldest international sector association: The Graphene Council. This organisation conducts its activity to the benefit of promoting and supporting the development of a profitable market of graphene and related materials, i.a. through supplying information to graphene producers, which will help them to develop a demand for their products.
BUSINESS MODEL
The AGP activity model is based on cooperation with business partners representing sectors with the highest potential within the use of the produced graphene as carbon composites, polymers/filaments for 3D printing, epoxy resins, anticorrosion coats, oils and greases. However, there are more and more new possibilities of using graphene.
– In the course of the recent years of work, we have identified and, with the participation of selected business partners, we developed possible graphene applications. Yet, we do not rest on our laurels and we observe the market carefully, and in these observations we are supported by our befriended research institutions: Łódź University of Technology and the institutes of Łukasiewicz Research Network. Currently, we can assume that graphene may also be used successfully in the production of e.g. lithium-ion batteries, in the electromobility sector, in solutions dedicated to hydrogen storage or in a segment which has become very popular recently: graphene quantal dots – says Maciej Gałązka.
Based on the analytical data concerning the worldwide graphene market, its average annual growth dynamics in 2020-2027 will be around 40%, and the market will be worth USD 877 m. in 2027. (According to: Allied Market Research). According to the research company, Reports n Reports, the global value of the graphene market will increase from USD 200 m. in 2018 to USD 1 bil. in 2023.
