Advanced Graphene Products with the American partner

Advanced Graphene Products, an innovative company producing graphene on an industrial scale, signed a cooperation agreement with the American potentate – Garmor Inc., belonging to Asbury Carbons Group. In this way, it will increase its operating scale and reach more markets.

AGP a leading European partner on the graphene market

Cooperation between Advanced Graphene Products and Garmor will consist in the mutual distribution of own products in the USA and EU. Thus, both enterprises will increase their operating scale, extend their offer and opportunities for the first mass application of graphene in such fields as polymers or anticorrosion coats.

We will be the only representative of Garmor in the EU within the REACH certificate. At the same time, our products will be available from the leading supplier of carbon and graphite products used in global industrial applications – The Absbury, which incorporates Garmor Group. Garmor will participate actively in searching for prospective partners interested in solutions based on graphene, devised by AGP (polymers, oils/greases, anticorrosion coats). Our cooperation anticipates also the mutual exhibition on industry fairs. I am convinced that for the development of Advanced Graphene Products this is a breakthrough moment” – said Maciej Gałązka, the President of the Management Board of Advanced Graphene Products.

The agreement is effective from 1 January 2022 to 1 January 2025 with the possibility of its extension to the subsequent period.

Graphene for the shipyard and automotive sector

Graphene may be one of the most useful materials in the world. Although it has the thickness of one carbon atom, it is many times stronger than steel and extremely flexible. Since it was isolated for the first time by scientists in 2004, the list of patents concerning graphene has been growing exponentially every year. This material will soon initiate a technological revolution which really can change the world. One of the areas which will be commercialised by Advanced Graphene Product are anticorrosion coats.

Graphene is practically impermeable so a paint layer based on graphene may be used for eliminating corrosion and rust. The scientists demonstrated that glass vessels or copper plates coated with the paint with graphene may be used as containers for extremely corrosive acids. The paint with graphene is on a good way to become a genuinely revolutionary product for industries dealing with all the types of protection against atmospheric conditions or corrosive chemicals. This will be beneficial for the shipyard, automotive and aviation sectors.

Cooperation with Garmor will help us to commercialise faster the use of graphene in paints, greases and anticorrosion oils. The enormous experience of our American partner on the market is really important here – a market which undeniably is one of the most innovative markets in the world. Signing this cooperation agreement took place at the time of our stock exchange debut in Warsaw. I think that this is excellent news for all our stockholders. We are at the beginning of this road but today nobody doubts that graphene will change the world” – commented Piotr Zawistowski, the main stockholder of Advanced Graphene Products.

Garmor Inc. in Europe

Garmor Inc. This is a company which deals with highly specialised materials. It has a patented eco-friendly process of graphene commercial production – Edge Functionalized Grafen (EFG). It belongs to the global producer of graphite and carbon materials – Asbury Carbons, Inc. Garmor has unique graphene solutions within enriching: adhesives, asphalt, cement, coats and also plastics and composites on a metal matrix.

We are really satisfied that we signed the cooperation agreement with Advanced Graphene Products. Our teams contribute large engineering talents within the commercial applications of graphene. This agreement is concurrent with Asbury strategy concerning the development of our advanced product on the European markets. The date of signing this cooperation agreement met ideally our growing productivity. At present, we are conducting an investment in Lumberton in North Carolina, which will focus on the manufacturing of Garmor products on a commercial scale. At the same time, we are modernising a pilot line in Orlando in Florida, which will be launched at the end of 2022. My congratulations for AGP and Asbury-Garmor teams” – said Noah Nichelson, the President of Asbury Carbons.
