An innovative company which produces graphene and develops its applications.
We have a globally-unique method of producing large-size graphene, HSMG® (High Strength Metallurgical Graphene),
and knowledge and experience in graphene materials and their processing.
Product commercialisation
The Company entered into cooperation aimed at devising the commercial applications of graphene with, inter alia, the following entities: Kross, Ciech, Europejska Agencja Kosmiczna, Frako-Term, GM Color, PolWax, GRM Systems, and Pimar Plastics.
One of the effects of said cooperation is obtaining patents or applying for patents which protect both graphene production methods and graphene applications. Currently, the Company has a few registered patents and patent applications under consideration by proper bodies.
The Company’s team consists of several people, including specialists in chemistry, material engineering, nanotechnology, electronics and biotechnology.
According to the Management Board’s knowledge, AGP is currently the only company in Poland which produces graphene and which, at the same time, has significant research and organisational facilities which may contribute to its commercialisation.
Activity profile
Advanced Graphene Products S.A. (AGP) is a producer of both currently known forms of graphene: flake and large-size.
The Company has devised and patented a production technology of large-size graphene on liquid metal – HSMG. It ensures the best quality properties of large-size graphene, which may be used in the most demanding applications, e.g. in electronics, including: microprocessors, sensors and transistors.
The Company conducts research-development works whose aim is to devise the prospective applications of graphene forms produced by the Company. The main application areas of flake graphene (GO – graphene oxide, rGO – reduced graphene oxygen) are carbon composites, epoxy resins, 3D filaments, paints, anti-corrosion coats or masterbatches.
AGP History
The genesis of establishing Advanced Graphene Products S.A. dates back to Łódź University of Technology, whose spin-off is the Company. The technologies developed, including the production technology of large-size graphene, HSMG, are the outcome of the long-term scientific work of the members of AGP scientific council: prof. dr hab. inż. Piotr Kula and prof. dr hab. inż. Łukasz Kaczmarek.
Cooperation with AGP
At present, the Company has a few commercial partners, with whom it cooperates on many graphene applications. Furthermore, the Company conducts the independent B+R works on two applications.
The productivity of AGP allows for the annual production of 100 kg of flake graphene and 150 m2 of large-size graphene in a single work shift. Production takes place in Zielona Góra in halls covering the production area of 450 m2 and with the office space of 350 m2, which allows for the significant increase in volumes.
